By default, any subscriber who hasn't opened an email in the past 60 days. On Pro and Growth plans, you can adjust this threshold to 30 or 90 days depending on your send frequency and list hygiene preferences. You always preview the segment size before approving a swap.

Yes, at any point. Matches are suggestions — you choose who you swap with. Once a swap is approved and running, you can pause or cancel it from your dashboard. If a swap is already in-flight (emails queued), we'll halt the remaining sequence within one business day.

Yes. NudgeLoop operates within Substack's terms of service and uses your existing subscriber list — we're not importing outside lists. Because you're only sharing with people already subscribed to you or your partner, engagement rates on swap campaigns are typically higher than cold outreach, which improves your sender reputation over time.
